Larsen To Auction Gear From

Larsen To Auction Gear From Perfect Game: Looking to help finance college educations for his grandchildren, former New York Yankee pitcher Don Larsen is auctioning off the ball, glove, and spikes from the perfect game he threw in the 1956 World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Larsen looks to gross somewhere over $200,000 from the auction. As a benchmark, actor Charlie Sheen bought the famous "Mookie Ball" from the 1986 World Series for $94,000 back in 1989.

We have in our possession a ball given to us by Don Larsen's mother. It was his perfect pitched game in the 1957 Series game. It was signed by both himself and opposing pitcher. Larsen's mother was a customer of our brother, and she gave it to him because of the kindness he showed her. He was raised in LaPorte/Michigan City, IN which is just 30 miles West of us. It is in the brother's estate and we are trying to determine the value of and if Mr. Larsen would have any interest in it. Could you please get in touch with him and in turn have him contact us. Thank you kindly, Roger A. Johnson
