Freakish Is The Only Word.
Freakish Is The Only Word. . . I can think of to use to describe the death of Britannie Cecil, the 13-year old girl who died Tuesday from injuries she suffered after being struck in the head by a puck at an NHL game in Columbus on Saturday night. Details released yesterday by Cecil's doctors revealed how the blow she suffered to the head caused a horrible chain reaction that resulted in her death. A tragedy to be sure, and here's hoping the NHL performs more than a perfunctory investigation to decide if there is anything that could be done to prevent an incident like this from occurring again. My guess is they won't come up with anything, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try.
