Grieving With A Dog Person
Today was a bad day for one of my online pals, Jeff Cooper. For today was the day when he had to say goodbye to a loyal and faithful friend, one who had never betrayed him, and couldn't have if he ever tried. I'm talking about his Curly Lab, Pippin, and I'm chary of suggesting you click on the link as I'm tearing up just thinking about it. As I read it earlier today, all I could think about was the day my father took my Black Lab, Velvet, to the Vet for what I suspected, but my father would never say, was her last visit.
Thankfully, Pippin's fate isn't so tragic, but that only makes it a little less heart wrenching. Sorry Jeff, I'd take the guy in myself if I only had the space.
