Tracking the results from the Men's championship, television ratings for the NCAA Women's basketball final were down from 2002.
Greg Vaughn, who hit 50 home runs for the San Diego Padres in 1998, has signed a contract with the Colorado Rockies and will report to their Triple A affiliate. Baseball Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner has come out against Pete Rose being made eligible for the Hall.
English soccer power Aston Villa has cancelled a post season tour of China over fears about the SARS virus. For more on SARS from a real doctor, stop by db's Medical Rants. Up in Scotland, Boavista head coach Jamie Paccheco is shooting his mouth off before his team's UEFA Cup tie against Glasgow Celtic, calling his opponents "predictable". The two teams play at Parkhead on Thursday evening in Scotland.
Shaquille O'Neal missed a Lakers practice in L.A., and Head Coach Phil Jackson isn't happy about it.
Craig Bohl was fired as Athletic Director at the University of Kansas, one day after reports surfaced that there was tension between him and head basketball coach Roy Williams. Looks like Kansas will do all they have to in order to keep Williams from bolting for North Carolina.
UPDATE: It looks like John Rocker is going to get another chance at playing in the majors -- this time with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
