Memories. . .
With the possibility of Patrick Roy's retirement an open question, I thought this might be a good time to remember one of the greatest nights of St. Patrick's career -- March 26, 1997 and perhaps the greatest regular season game in the history of the NHL:
"Wow, that Mike Vernon can sure throw a punch!"
McCarty pummels Lemieux. Roy challenges Vernon. Shanahan delivers flying check to Roy. Vernon pummels Roy. McCarty scores game winner in OT, Red Wings win, 6-5.
