Just found your page. I spoke to steve bechler's dad ernie this past summer. We were looking for an attorney. My son survived a brainstem stroke while being treated for minor sinus problems. As you know ephedra and phenylpropanolamine come from the same bush. How many more young lives will be destroyed before Congress acts to remove all cold medications and diet drugs from the market. A cold last two weeks. PPA induced MS, PME and ALS last FOREVER. I WILL FOREVER WONDER IF LOU was treated with Ephedra or PPA before developing ALS. If the US is serious about fighting the War on Drugs why don't they just eliminate the percusors the drug manufacturers PUSH on our youth. We are very angry. We were excellent parents, raised drug-free sons and then
just as we were beginning to enjoy watching them start their own homes our 27yr old suffers a 33 day poisoning on decongestant PPA!!! 16MONTHS after the FDA had removed it from the market!!!! PRESCRIPTION PPA!!!!! Maybe the Congress will also ban E-Codes that hide these terrible incidents from the patients and their struggling families.
