Sharks Advance
Congratulations to Ron Wilson and the San Jose Sharks, the first team to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, after they defeated St. Louis in the decisive Game Five of their first round series.
The series win is the first for Wilson since he led the Washington Capitals to the Finals in 1998. As a Washington-based hockey fan who was here for that run to the Finals, it's great to see Wilson having success with a new franchise, especially after the way he was dismissed from Washington following the 2001-02 season.
It was just one of the big mistakes the Caps organization has made in the past five seasons, and one they should regret as much as any of the others.
