Meltdown

Before it gets too stale, I ought to pass along the link to the latest Nike commercial the sports apparel manufacturer is running in Canada.

That is without a doubt the saddest thing I have ever seen.

Well done, NIKE. Thanks for having the guts to take a stand. I pitched a lockout spot to our customer, Comcast SportsNet in DC. The spot had Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin (play by play and color analyst) standing vigil in the CSN booth. We see skates on drying rack, goals hung up, no ice etc, yet Joe and Locker continue to stand vigil.
We finally see them leaving MCI and as they part. Joe says to Craig "Same time tomorrow, Locker". Locker replies,
"I'll be here, Joe". We see them go their separate ways and
the announcer simply states, "When Caps Hockey returns,
we'll be ready".

I received a big fat, NOTHING from this pitch. Comcast, like the Caps has just put their heads in the sand and will not emerge until there is a settlement.

BAD PLAN.
