Ray Ratto of the San Francisco Chronicle and PJ Swenson of Sharkspage both went to the HP Pavillion the other night to see the Cleveland Barons play the Edmonton Roadrunners.

Ray's cynical tone is popular in hockey circles across the country, including my own. It's obvious that he's too bitter about the lockout to write an objective piece about an AHL game in California.
The lockout doesn't bother me much. On the other hand, I know many NHL fans that have checked out AHL games this year because they miss the game so much. Personally, I'd rather see the problems the league faces fixed than watch the game continue to suffer. If it takes a year to do that, so be it. I think, as fans, we'll be prepared to wait.
Articles like PJ's confirm this belief in my mind.
