A Note From San Jose
My old friend Jon Swenson dropped me a note and this photo late last night from San Jose:

Thought you might want to take a look at this photo of the ice from the Sharks press box.
Joe Thornton was incredible tonight, a drop pass to create a scoring chance on one play followed by him skating around 3 players to setup another goal in the first. Incredible game. He ended up with a goal and an assist, with a +4.
Thornton and Marleau on the same line are also helping forward Ryane Clowe have an incredible season. He has 10 goals and 3 assists in his last 9 games.
With Anaheim's strong start, it's easy to forget that the Sharks are only four points back of the Ducks with two games in hand. And Nashville, by dint of its 4-0 win over Columbus last night, is now one point up on the Ducks in the West.
Got a hockey snapshot or an observation you'd like to share? Just drop me an email and we'll feature it here on Off Wing.
