Landon Donovan: Star Of The Gringos
Here's a screenshot of Landon Donovan being interviewed on Univision following Sunday's 2-1 defeat of Mexico in the Gold Cup Final:

For those of you wondering what "Estrella De Equipo Gringo" means, it's roughly "Star of the Gringo team".
Does anyone remember how we were all told that "Houston 1836" was offensive to Mexicans? I didn't think so. Funny how that's turning into a one-way street.
Thanks to Big Soccer, Brian Cook and With Leather for the links. And I think With Leather has the right idea -- it's time to start embracing this "Gringo" thing when it comes to the U.S. Men's National Team.
UPDATE: Sideline Views says the Mexican locker room may be imploding in the wake of the Gold Cup loss. Cry me a river ...
