Hanlon Out
According to the Capitals, Coach Glen Hanlon has been "relieved" of his duties. Bruce Boudreau, head coach of the AHL Hershey Bears, has been named interim coach. After one of the worst starts in team history, including losing their last 5 games, and their last 9 of 10, as well as having the worst record in the league, many people had an idea that this was coming. Coach Hanlon leaves with a record of 78-123-9-29 over parts of 4 seasons.

I came in late to the party in terms of covering the Capitals during Hanlon's tenure. It will be interesting to start fresh with a new coach, and to begin on the same page as all the other writers and bloggers.
