On The Road Back With Theo
Chicago Blackhawks winger Theo Fleury scored his third goal in four games coming off of an NHL suspension for violating the terms of his substance abuse aftercare program, helping the Hawks to a 4-3 victory over the slumping New York Rangers. Before the game, Fleury sat down for an interview with ESPN's Darren Pang. There isn't a whole lot of meat to the interview outside of Fleury talking about the fact that he now has a person travel with him while he's on the road -- somebody to make sure he stays on the straight and narrow, so to speak: Yeah, it's something that I need. And that's another part of it, being able to ask for what I need. Before I would never ask, I would never ask for help because I can do this by myself, and I can get through this. But you know what? I can't. I need to ask for help. I need to ask for things, I need to ask for what I need in order for me to continue on this path. The hockey is more exciting with a player like Fleury on the ice. Here's hoping he's able to hold it together this time. Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: CommentsPost a commentThanks for signing in, .
